Double Bass 3/4

Crafted in 2022, this Gamba Vivala contrabass was built to highlight the warm, expressive acoustic character of local tonewoods. The natural figure of the flamed alder is brought to life under a traditional brown spirit-based varnish, applied thin to let the plates breathe and vibrate freely. Equipped with individual Rubner mechaniks, an very nice ash Hill model tailpiece, a good titan endpin, and a set of Thomastik Belcanto strings, highly regarded for their warm tone and excellent pizzicato and arco response.
