Double Bass 3/4 - 5 Strings

Crafted in 2025, this 5-string Gamba Vivala model contrabass was built to highlight the warm, expressive acoustic character of local tonewoods while expanding the lower register. The natural figure of the flamed maple is brought to life under a traditional amber spirit-based varnish, applied thin to let the plates breathe and vibrate freely. Equipped with individual, french style Rubner mechaniks, an ebony tailpiece, a titan endpin, and a set of Thomastik Belcanto strings, highly regarded for their warm tone and excellent pizzicato and arco response.
